Today's Poll

All in favor of quitting their job and trying their hand at llama farming with me, say "Aye"...

Me & my llama, Me & my llama, we're going to the dentist today!

Who did that painting?

My Dad's mother, Beadie Blodgett!

Hey, I see lots of Anthony's FB status updates these last few days have to do with moving... when is the big day, and where is the new place, exactly?

Big Day: June 27th

New Place: 20A Otis St.,
Manchester CT 06040

Big Question: Who will we magically pull out of a hat to help me load the truck that day, now that our friend Michael has come up with a scheduling conflict? Ugh.

(That's not a veiled hint, by the way.)

Big Pain in the Rear: Driving to and from Manchester twice a week every week for a month.

Big Payoff: Living in my hometown again, about 1/2 mile from my parents and sister/bro-in-law. That and free babysitting. ;)

Veiled hint or not, I may be able to help you out-- I actually begin my vacation on the 27th. I have plans with Noah the following day (and for much of the vacation) but could possibly devote most of Friday to toting boxes... heck, I might even be able to convince him to drive down with me and lend an extra hand...

Wellll... we have someone available to help unload in Manchester... so it would really just be for the load-up in Stratford on Friday morning. A lot of the boxed stuff will have been brought up already; we've been going up for childbirth classes and stuff for a couple of weeks now, and taking my truck full of boxes each time. The part I can't do myself is more in the realm of beds, dressers and the couch. Not especially heavy, just awkward to move solo.

Would you seriously consider driving six hours to move someone else's crap... with gas at $4.xx a gallon??

Sorry we can't help you move on the 27th. Can't escape work that day (I'm being sent to lovely Kentucky next week). And on the 28th we have a date with some invasive plant species.

Sadly, I'm just that pathetic... it wouldn't be the first time I've used vacation time to help someone move in another state! :)

But seriously, if you have a corner for me to crash in, I could probably leave work a little early on Thursday and drive down that night, sleep over and help you pack up Friday morning, and then be back on my way home in time for Dr. Who that night. :)

We have plenty of corners, plus a spare bed, a couch, an aerobed, and a wide variety of other furniture that can be both slept on *and* hoisted into a moving truck, provided you're up to the task!

Is there a "throw big shiny golden halo at" option in SuperPoke?

I'm in! No halos required. I'll catch up with you guys sometime next week to give you a better idea of when I might arrive Thurs night.
