Between comments on the last post, and the email chain that has been flying around the last few days, shall we take bets on whether or not Kla will ever dare to (mis)quote Nick Cave again? Poor girl, all she wanted was for us to share in her spinning wheel glee, and this is what we (OK, I) subject her to...

Oh, that's fine...that's why I have a knitting blog, too. There's also a certain amount of amusement in watching the comments turn into a gigantic game of telephone (start with spinning wheel...end up with fainting couches and Nick Cave).
Of course, this does nothing to alleviate my life-long suspicion that nothing I have ever said is actually of general interest. ;)
I refuse to associate myself with un-interesting people, so right there your life-long suspicion has been proven unfounded.
Kla, I still remember you saying in 8th grade English with Mr. Hampe that Heidi Kriteman shouldn't be cast in whatever play we were reading in class that day because "she couldn't feel her part." I found that VERY INTERESTING--mostly because it corroborated my own catty feelings toward Ms. Kriteman.
I, also, have disproven your uninterestingness.
Nothing anyone ever says is of any real interest... it's all about what someone else finds interesting, then proceeds to turn it into. Lather, rinse, repeat... and hey presto! Culture!
This may be a bit of an oversimplification, I admit.
THE TINY SPECTRE OF DEATH FINDS MORTALS TO BE UNINTERESTING GENERALLY. IN MUCH THE WAY THAT BEETHOVEN WAS NOT ESPECIALLY INTERESTED IN THE HOPES AND DREAMS OF HIS PIANO KEYS.
