This is a Spinning Song...A Song By Which To Spin...
The slippery slope down the path of fiber-related madness continues. Click here for more details that you really won't care about so just scroll down and look at the pictures. :)
Very cool. So just the other night at choir we were singing this really insipid repetitive song(praise song, JR, you know how I feel about those!) and somehow it reminded me of The Weeping Song. And I wanted to laugh and start singing The Weeping Song out loud, but restrained myself because none of the grey-haired choir ladies/gents would have had any clue...
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. That in itself is probably enough to elucidate, but the refrain, sung as direly as only Nick Cave can is "this is the weeping song/a song in which to weep/while all the men and women sleep/this is a weeping song/but i won't be weeping long". It really must be heard for the full effect, though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsOBpDkwBtM. As the You Tube post-er declares, "bow down and worship".
Isn't it hard to burst out laughing and find there's no one within earshot to laugh with you? That never happens on the blog, though . . . which is why we love it so.

I'm not familiar with the Weeping Song... can you elucidate?

This is a blogging song . . .
P.S. Kla, nice wheel. Good for you. : )
Cheery!
Well, it IS Nick Cave after all. The King of sexy-morbid. (Not to be confused with jolie-laid.)
THE TINY SPECTRE PREFERS NERDY-SEXY-MORBID.
TINY-PEEVISH-FATAL WORKS TOO.
I figured Tiny Spectre would not be able to hold back from joining in this string... ;)
