It's definitely the best power-pop song by a British band fronted by a guy in a bowler hat that I've listened to in the last, ohhhh, say 3 minutes 45 seconds!
On the other hand, "Neon Bible" has completely taken over my waking and sleeping, my eating and breathing, my very sensorium itself. I'm averaging between 2 and 4 plays a day, depending on how much time I spend driving.
It was a very weird experience "hearing" a song for the first time via video -- I had to leave the song running while looking at another browser tab. I'm not sure I'd ever been introduced to new music via video before (except of course for OK Go...I think).
Yes, I agree that is true -- but we had HEARD all the songs on the radio first! I'm talking about apprehending a song for the first time by watching a video, not hearing a song and then realizing how dreamy the singer is...ahem, excuse me.
Oh no, are you getting all dreamy over John Waite flashbacks? I know I was the one who started it, but let me bring you back to reality with two words: Bad English.

Snarky.

Someone help me!
Ha HA! I will take for myself some of the credit (or blame) for that.

Come ON-- we're supposed to be the MTV generation!!!!
C'mon Kla--what about V 66?
V66! Nothing like squinting at a screen full of static, trying vainly to make a shadowy shape into John Waite.
